[ INSIGHT ]
Many had the dream of linking all the 82 peaks in the Alps exceeding four thousands meters… Franco Nicolini did it.
Franco Nicolini is all-round mountaineer specialized in concatenations. A professional Mountain Guide, Mountain rescue Instructor and Skialp Italian and European champion.
[ STRATEGY ]
We were asked to develop and launch the mountaineer Franco Nicolini’s personal website.
Our role was to design an identity and website that would narrate Franco Nicolini’s history along with his alpine expeditions and sport results without boasting about his achievements but respecting Nicolini’s understated communication style.

Color palette
The color palette used for the logo and icons has been inspired by Nicolini’s favourite color: sky blue.

Logo design
The concept for the logo has been inspired by the dolomite rock. The logo is angular and edgy and linear just like Nicolini’s climbing philosophy.
ICONOGRAPHY
The website icons and illustrations have been designed choosing a clean and linear look and feel.
Website layout
The website has been designed to tell Franco Nicolini’s story: his love for the mountains, his adventures and moreover his philosophy. Hence a website defined by a minimalistic layout with a modern typewriter-like typography.
